Campus as a Living Lab exhibit
UW Center for Integrated Design, Discovery Commons at the Bullitt Center
Opening reception Oct. 30, 2015, 4-6 p.m.
UW Sustainability, in conjunction with the UW Center for Integrated Design, presents an exhibition showcasing innovative sustainability projects at the University of Washington. The UW campuses serve as living laboratories for a broad range of projects that address challenges and opportunities in operations, education and research.
Join us for the exhibit's opening reception on Friday, Oct. 30, from 4-6 p.m., at the Bullitt Center (1501 E. Madison Street) including presentations on the exhibit and campus sustainability efforts. Light refreshments and beverages will be available.
The exhibit in the UW Center for Integrated Design's Discovery Commons at the Bullitt Center features posters detailing work by programs including the Campus Sustainability Fund, the Green Seed Fund, UW Sustainability's Green Certification Programs, UW Bothell and UW Tacoma, as well as collaborations between the UW's Master of Landscape Architecture Capstone Studio and the Capitol Hill EcoDistrict; Seattle City Light and the UW, and a UW multidisciplinary research team working with a grant from the National Science Foundation's Emerging Frontiers in Research and Innovation (EFRI). The exhibit also includes a timeline of sustainability at the University of Washington, and information on the Bullitt Center.
To view the exhibit at other times during its presentation from Oct. 26 through March 2016, you can sign up for a public tour of the Bullitt Center or arrange for an appointment by contacting email@example.com.
The Bullitt Center - the Greenest Commercial Building in the World - aims to drive change in the marketplace faster and further by demonstrating what is possible today. The UW Center for Integrated Design was involved in the design of the Bullitt Center and serves as one of the major communications and outreach platforms for the building through their Discovery Commons.
