SustainableUW Festival Exhibitor Fair

Oct. 18, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., HUB Ballroom

Join us in the HUB Ballroom to visit with dozens of UW departments, student groups, organizations, vendors and community partners are doing for sustainability. Sample sustainable food samples and enjoy entertainment on the Cultural Sustainability Stage as you learn about sustainability efforts at UW and how you can get involved.

For this first time, this year's fair will include entertainment on the Cultural Sustainability Stage. The stage will showcase art from the many cultural backgrounds and traditions represented in the diverse UW community. This year's performers include:

Hui Hoaloha 'Ulana - Literally translated as "a group woven together in friendship", Hui Hoaloha 'Ulana strives to weave lifelong bonds among students whose love for Hawaii brings them together. We endeavor to unite students from all over the University of Washington community by promoting participation in social and cultural events and to perpetuate the aloha spirit in Seattle. Through club events and public service, Hui Hoaloha 'Ulana spreads their aloha spirit within the Seattle community. Aloha!

The Dawg Squad - an on-campus competitive and performance hip-hop team at The University of Washington. We love representing our school through our biggest passion: dancing!

Gajjde Punjabi - Bhangra is a North Indian folk dance that was used in Punjab to celebrate the harvest season. At the UW we enjoy this style of dance year round.

Unplugged - Unplugged is a music group and Registered Student Organization at the University of Washington that arranges and performs Eastern-Western fusion pieces to celebrate the diverse cultural backgrounds of the UW community. Our sound is influenced by musical traditions and styles from around the world, including cultures of South Asia, the Americas, Europe, and more.
