Huskies for Equitable Sustainability (HuES) is a new opportunity for students to actively engage in the UW's sustainability efforts, organized by UW Sustainability and the Campus Sustainability Fund (CSF). We'll be holding monthly sessions open to students from all UW campuses and departments. These sessions will include information about current sustainability efforts across the UW, connections with RSOs and other groups working on sustainability, volunteer opportunities and more. They will also be a venue for you to ask UW staff questions and provide feedback on what you'd like to see happen for sustainability on campus.
You're welcome to join every month or just drop in for one session. We'll post general agendas for each month here. Meetings will be held Thursdays at 3:30 p.m., with a Zoom option as well.

mini RSO fair
On January 28, join for a mini RSO fair! Several sustainability-related RSOs will talk about their efforts and how you can get involved, along with general open discussion and networking time. Groups attending will include the UW Farm Dirty Dozen, Green Greeks, Project IF, Institutional Climate Action, UW SEED, UW Solar and Solar Decathlon.
January Power Plant tours
HuES has organized three tours of UW's on-campus Power Plant in January. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our campus energy system and the steps we're planning to decarbonize our campus. These tours are of the working UW Power Plant and involve walking on metal grates and navigating steep stairs. Please wear closed-toe shoes.

Earth Day committee
Help shape the UW's Earth Day celebrations and events. We're looking for student volunteers to join an Earth Day planning committee. Deadline to sign up is Jan. 21.

UW Bothell & Tacoma
Students on all UW campuses are invited to join. UW Bothell & UW Tacoma have set up spaces on those campuses to meet and connect to HuES.
- UW Bothell students will meet in UW1-050 to join the meetings.
- UW Tacoma students can participate in each meeting through a videoconferencing link in TPS 110.
