UW Earth Day

UW Sustainability is hosting two Earth Day exhibitor fairs this year, with space for exhibitors, creative expression, interactive stations and more to engage the UW community.

These events will be April 14, 2023, in the Ethnic Cultural Center with a theme of "Equity and Sustainability," and April 19, 2023, in the HUB with a theme of "Decarbonization," with both events will take place 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Although these are broad themes and we welcome exhibitors connecting their efforts with these themes, we also want to showcase the wide variety of sustainability efforts across the UW and do not require every exhibitor directly connect to these themes.

We are committed to making this an inclusive event, with a diverse range of exhibitors and participants.  UW student groups, departments and other organizations are invited to participate, with a goal to provide a fun and informative experience for attendees. Hands-on activities are highly desirable.

Give-away guidelines: UW Sustainability is working to create a zero-waste events. To that end, please think of ways to connect with an audience other than simply giving away an item. Consider providing an experience or activity rather than swag. If you feel a giveaway is necessary, please avoid plastic materials and make sure the item is useful, durable and reusable. Please connect with us at sustainability@uw.edu if you want to discuss these guidelines or have other questions about the event.
