This year there are events, volunteer opportunities and other ways to recognize Earth Day happening on all three UW campuses, organized by many different groups and units across our university. Help us recognize the students, faculty, staff and groups who have made an impact for sustainability at the University of Washington. The Husky Sustainability Awards rely on nominations from the UW community, and nominations are due by May 1st. Let us know about students, faculty, staff and groups at all three UW campuses who deserve to be recognized for their sustainability impact, leadership & dedication.
Student Sustainability Forum
UW Sustainability is organizing a Student Sustainability Forum to start in Fall quarter 2024. The Forum will provide an opportunity for students to actively engage in the UW's sustainability efforts. Through the Forum, students can contribute their perspectives, ideas, and expertise to shape future sustainability initiatives at UW.
We will welcome students from all three UW campuses who share a passion for sustainability. There will be a kickoff meeting early in the Fall quarter, along with recurring Forum meetings likely held monthly. April Sustainability Challenge with the Whole U
The UW Sustainability Challenge is an annual event that brings together University of Washington faculty, staff, and community members to tackle pressing sustainability issues facing our world. Each day, challenge yourself to follow a sustainable tip and expand your knowledge on how to be more environmentally conscious. Do them on your own, as a work unit, or with a friend or family member.
