LEED

Students interested in green building and sustainable design can take a LEED Green Associate training course on campus next Wednesday, October 26. LeadingGREEN is offering the evening training course in Loew Hall room 102 from 6-10 p.m. The course is $300 ($200 for current full time students) and satisfies the eligibility requirements to take the LEED Green Associate exam, which is separately administered by the US Green Building Council.

If you're interested in working in the green building industry, you may want to become certified as a LEED Green Associate. This credential shows you have taken the training and have knowledge of the LEED ratings system.

LeadingGreen will be on campus on April 16 for a LEED Green Associate training session in Loew 102 from 1-5 p.m., which will provide an overview of LEED and information designed to help you pass the LEED GA exam administered by the U.S. Green Building Council.

One of the most visible buildings on campus is also one of the most sustainable. The Husky Union Building (HUB) is recognized with LEED Gold status for its sustainable features both large – such as the cooling system – and small, like the materials in the bowling alley.
