It's the opening day of the SustainableUW Festival!

Although Halloween is just around the corner, UW Sustainability has been meticulously organizing their own series of events – without the "tricks," and pumpkins guts.
It's jolly good time for the UW's first Tweed Ride A Tweed Ride? Why, the concept is simple. Attire yourself in something timeless and tweedy and then tour around our rustic campus by bicycle. Join us for a unique mid-day sojourn which should not be missed! We will stop in select places to admire the finest campus buildings, enjoy sipping hot chocolate, hear tales of the past, and make photographs of our dapper cohort. Meet on the southern face of Hansee Hall just before noon on Thursday, October 15.
This Tuesday, UW Sustainability co-hosts Seattle GreenDrinks along with the UW Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship, the Alaska Airlines Environmental Innovation Challenge, UW Surplus, UW Professional and Continuing Education, and UW Bothell's School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences.
If you'd like to have a hand in determining the future development of the University of Washington campus, come out to the Campus Master Plan public meetings Oct. 14 and 15.
The public is invited to share ideas and comments on the next Campus Master Plan, and to comment on the scope of the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) that will be prepared to analyze potential environmental impacts of the plan. Your input will play a pivotal role in helping us shape the future of the Seattle Campus.
An array of prizes, handouts, and a wheel with several "green" categories greeted students waiting patiently to play the sustainability game and walk away with a variety of prizes, and hopefully, greater knowledge of how to live a green friendly lifestyle.
Join the Enviro-Quest during Dawg Daze! Join in on a photo scavenger hunt to uncover some of the College of the Environment's best kept secrets, while also learning about the environmental programs at UW and meeting students with similar interests.
To participate, join the Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/enviroquest2015/
Craving something fresh, delicious, local and sustainable? Satisfy your taste buds or learn a thing or two about sustainable living at this year’s CHOMP! festival, the first sustainability living festival organized by King County. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 13 at Marymoor Park near Redmond.
Several UW students will be among those participating in a poster session as part of the CleanTech Showcase 2015 on June 22 in Seattle.
The quarter might be almost over, but you can still find plenty of sustainability events happening around campus. Some of the week's highlights are listed below, and you can find out even more items happening on campus this week with our full calendar (we're always adding events as we learn about them, so the full Sustainability Events calendar is also the best place to find the most up-to-date listings and details on all events).
