Bike back in time with the Tweed Ride on Oct. 15

It's jolly good time for the UW's first Tweed Ride A Tweed Ride? Why, the concept is simple. Attire yourself in something timeless and tweedy and then tour around our rustic campus by bicycle. Join us for a unique mid-day sojourn which should not be missed! We will stop in select places to admire the finest campus buildings, enjoy sipping hot chocolate, hear tales of the past, and make photographs of our dapper cohort. Meet on the southern face of Hansee Hall just before noon on Thursday, October 15.

Help shape UW's Campus Master Plan

If you'd like to have a hand in determining the future development of the University of Washington campus, come out to the Campus Master Plan public meetings Oct. 14 and 15.

The public is invited to share ideas and comments on the next Campus Master Plan, and to comment on the scope of the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) that will be prepared to analyze potential environmental impacts of the plan. Your input will play a pivotal role in helping us shape the future of the Seattle Campus.

AASHE meeting connects UW with higher ed sustainability leaders

UW Associate Vice President Ruth Johnston traveled to Stanford University this spring to discuss strategic priorities and partnerships with fellow higher education sustainability leaders.

Johnston serves on the board of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), which for the past 10 years has been strengthening campus sustainability efforts and making sustainable practices the norm within higher education.
