Energy and climate change feed off of each other, causing problems for all of us. The energy sector is the second largest emitter of greenhouse gasses - which cause warming temperatures. As the climate warms, it increases the demand for electrical-powered cooling, putting stress on our energy supply and leading to more emissions.

hosted our first teach-in and mixer on Climate Justice and Collective Action in collaboration with student groups on campus and community organizations in Seattle. We heard from student speakers and environmental activists from ICA, EPSA, UW Solar, UW Sustainability with the presentation focused on applying a Just Transition to the decarbonization plan at UW and local efforts in Washington.
