UW Sustainability Panel Identifies Barriers to Solving Grand Challenges

On Wednesday, October 22nd, a group of six speakers from across the University of Washington came together to discuss sustainability, especially as it relates  to their personal research and projects, as part of the SustainableUW Festival. Comprised of three different UW schools (College of the Environment, Foster School of Business, and the School of Public Health), the panel focused on identifying and addressing the barriers to solving the largest issues currently affecting sustainability.  

EcoReps Clothing Swap

Wednesday, Nov. 19, join EcoReps for a clothing exchange available to all UW students! 

Have some T-shirts or clothes sitting in your closet that you never wear? Donate them to EcoReps and pick out some new-to-you clothes! Find EcoReps on the 17th Avenue median in front of 45th Street from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

T-shirts, sweatshirts, blouses, pants, shorts, shoes, hats, scarves - come drop off anything you don't want and in return you can have whatever is donated!

Ride in the Rain Kickoff tomorrow

UW's Ride in the Rain Challenge will kick off Thursday evening at 7 p.m. in the Architecture Hall Auditorium (Room 147). The kickoff event will feature the award presentation for UW's recent Gold Bicycle Friendly University award - League of American Bicyclist President Andy Clarke will talk about how universities are catalysts for the creation of bicycle-friendly communities and will present the award to UW Associate Vice President for Facilities Services Charles Kennedy.
