Wednesday in the SustainableUW Festival includes a wide variety of events on campus.
One of the highlights of the festival each year is the Sustainable Careers Meet & Greet, which features presenters from a variety of fields talking about their career path and sustainable job opportunities, followed by a breakout session for small group discussions with the presenters. The event starts at 3:30 p.m. in HUB 334, and you can learn more about the presenters on our event page.
Wednesday kicks off with a 9 a.m. celebration of the UW's Salmon Safe Certification in HUB 337. In the afternoon, the UW Botanic Garden is offering a tour of the Center for Urban Horticulture from 2:30-3:30 p.m., including Merrill Hall - the first certified "green building" on campus - and the surrounding gardens. Free, but RSVP here.
Other festival events Wednesday:
The Evans School Research Seminar Series features Jiaying Zhao on "Resource scarcity: Consequences and Interventions" in Parrington Hall's Denny Forum at 12:30 p.m.
