UW Earth Day 2021

As part of the University of Washington's 2021 Earth Day recognition, UW Sustainability is collecting videos showcasing how people practice sustainability in their everyday life. We want to showcase how people are connecting with sustainability in their own personal or academic life during the pandemic and beyond.

We encourage anyone at the UW to contribute their own video to be a part of this project. We are hoping to share ways people can get involved, simply things they can do to increase their commitment to sustainability, tips to live sustainable at home, sustainability efforts across the UW, or just what Earth Day means to you. Videos will have a variety of topics. For instance, you may be interested in learning how to make homemade yogurt or testing your soil for growing your own home garden. Maybe you want to know more about how UW is going paperless or what plants are in bloom at the Washington Park Arboretum.

Videos by individuals, departments or groups at UW will be included. These videos can be any length and about any topic, as long as they're sustainability related and action oriented! Send us links to your videos on YouTube or other online platforms, or if you want UW Sustainability to host your video let us know.

Send your video links to Toren Elste at tee10@uw.edu. We will be linking to the full lineup on our Earth Day page in April.

We are so excited to see the breadth of sustainability on campus and look forward to celebrating Earth Day on April 22!
