The Department of Applied Mathematics in Lewis Hall offers programs in applied mathematics and computational finance and risk management (CFRM). The department began to sharpen its focus on sustainability as a result of the UW's increased promotion of environmentally friendly behaviors, and is a Gold Certified Green Office.

This month's Green Certification Workshop Wednesday will by July 12 at noon, in Gerberding Hall room G26. These Workshop Wednesdays are monthly open presentation and discussion sessions on the Green Office and Green Lab certifications.
UW Sustainability will hold Green Certification workshops the first Wednesday of each month, starting June 7th at 10 a.m. Everyone is welcome to join to learn more about our Green Office and Green Laboratory certification programs - we'll have a brief presentation, answer questions about the certification application, walk through available resources to help make your workplace more sustainable, and provide support for filling out the application.
