Work on creative, innovative solutions to environmental problems this Fall as part of the Environmental Innovation Practicum through the Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship. This weekly, two-credit seminar helps students discover how cleantech solutions are addressing pressing environmental issues, and how they can be part of those solutions.
Students planning to enter the Alaska Airlines Environmental Innovation Challenge can apply for funding to help create a prototype to help develop their idea. The funding can be used to purchase materials, rent equipment, or hire short-term workers with high level skills beyond the team’s capacity, in order to create a physical model, object or device.
The application deadline for the funds is Dec. 19, 2016 at 5 p.m.
The Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship is again offering two practicum courses this fall focusing on innovation - the Environmental Innovation Challenge and the Health Innovation Challenge practicums.
All entries for this year's Alaska Airlines Environmental Innovation Challenge must be submitted by midnight on Sunday, Feb. 21. No late entries will be accepted. To enter, upload your 5-7 page executive summary to the EIC registration website.
If you have a great idea for an innovation that will contribute to a healthier planet, there is $50,000 in funding available to help you build a prototype. Don't wait - the deadline to apply for funding is this Sunday, Dec. 20.
