The UW Food Pantry, "Any Hungry Husky," is hiring a student position which will work collaboratively with the leadership of the UW Food Pantry, the UW Farm, and Housing and Food Services (HFS) to develop and implement a strategy and processes to supply the Food Pantry with food grown on The Farm and remaining from Housing and Food Service locations.
The Society for Ecological Restoration-UW Chapter is seeking student interns for the Winter quarter. Interns are expected to devote an average of 9 hours a week to nursery projects. In conjunction with the manager, interns will develop learning objectives based on individual interests and strengths, receiving credit for ESRM 399 or their school’s equivalent. The interns' time will be split between routine plant maintenance, integrated pest management, nursery infrastructure projects, helping with weekly volunteer work parties, and individual projects.
Hi! I’m Caitlin and I’m joining the UW Sustainability team as the new graphic design assistant. Currently, I’m a senior in the UW Division of Design majoring in visual communication design. I’m most excited about this position because it gives me the opportunity to explore design in a new field—one that I am particularly interested in.

The Washington & Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference (WOHESC), taking place at UW on February 25 - 27, 2019, is currently looking for session and speaker proposals. The submission deadline was recently extended to October 15 - students, faculty and staff are encouraged to submit session proposals on their sustainability work or case studies to share with people from schools across our region.
The University of Washington is hosting the 2019 Pac-12 Sustainability Conference, the first collegiate sustainabilty conference focused on integrating sustainability into college athletics and across college campuses. The Pac-12 is committed to using the power of sport to promote healthy, sustainable practices to its campus communities and among Pac-12 fans.
The conference will be held June 25-26, 2019, and proposals for case studies, speakers and conference sessions are due Nov. 30, 2018.
Work on creative, innovative solutions to environmental problems this Fall as part of the Environmental Innovation Practicum through the Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship. This weekly, two-credit seminar helps students discover how cleantech solutions are addressing pressing environmental issues, and how they can be part of those solutions.
