Tuesday, May 26
- How to inspire people to engage in pro-environmental actions? Dr. Linda Steg an Environmental Psychologist will be lecturing about how pro-environmental behavior is often believed to be less attractive, which may inhibit pro-environmental choices. (Alder Commons Auditorium, 5 p.m.)
Wednesday, May 27
- UW Farm Volunteer hours at Mercer Court. All are welcome to stop by and visit the Farm or volunteer during any of schedule volunteer hours! (Mercer Court, 1:30 - 5 p.m.)
- SEFS Spring 2015 Seminar series. Professor Greg Ettl will be speaking on how "A mixed species clearcut silviculture system to restore native species composition and structure of old-growth forests in western Washington”. (Anderson Hall 223, 3:30 p.m.)
Thursday, May 28
- Every Thursday morning, the UW Farm presents an hour of FarmEd, with discussion and learning about various topics. This week’s subject: Medicinal Plants! (Botany Greenhouse, 8:30 a.m.)
- UW Transportation Services is putting on a FREE class to learn about great ways to adventure on a bicycle (HUB 337, 12 p.m.)
- UW Bike Month Trail Party to celebrate another great Bike Month! Goodies, vendors, resources, and entertainment galore. (Rainier Visa, 4 - 6 p.m.)
Friday, May 29
- UW Farm volunteer hours (Center for Urban Horticulture, 2 - 5 p.m.)
- Learn how to construct a vertical pallet garden at UW Tacoma. (UWT Giving Garden, 3 p.m.)
Saturday, May 30
- The Living Breath of wǝɫǝbʔaltxʷ Indigenous Food Practices and Ecological Knowledge Summit bringing together individuals to discuss how we can continue to utilize this symposium to better serve our indigenous communities as we continue to foster dialogue and build collaborative networks to sustain our cultural food practices and preserve our healthy relationship to the land, water, and all living things. (Intellectual House, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
- Speaking, in a sense: A discussion with Jeff Riffell at the UW medicinal herb garden. (Medicinal Herb Garden and Botany Greenhouse, 4 p.m.)
