Sean Notes | Diversity in Biodiversity

Seattle Times higher education reporter Katherine Long recenty covered an innovative project at UW aimed at diversifying the conservation workforce. Housed in the College of the Environment and directed by Dr. Sean Watts, the Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program is a conservation immersion program that aims to broaden participation within conservation and diversify what it means to be a conservation professional.

Claudia Frere-Anderson

Claudia Frère-Anderson is the Director of the UW's Environmental Stewardship & Sustainability office and oversees communications, reporting, and programs in addition to supervising staff and many students and interns. Frère-Anderson started her career in the financial services industry prior to working in the nonprofit/social entrepreneurship sector in the San Francisco Bay Area.
