This fall, the Campus Food Pantry is working to help address food insecurity in the UW community.

The food pantry will be open the first Tuesday of every month - starting next Tuesday, Oct. 4 - in HUB 214 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., as well as at the Ethnic Cultural Center on Oct. 19 and Nov. 16 from 6-8 p.m. The food pantry offers food and toiletries to any Husky looking for nutritional support. All that is needed to utilize the pantry is a Husky card.

In order to make sure the pantry can serve the needs of UW, they're looking for volunteers and donations. In order to volunteer with the campus food pantry, fill out their volunteer form here.

The pantry will also be accepting donations of non-perishable items from October 13-31 in donation bins at the HUB, the Ethnic Cultural Center, the UW Tower in the Skybridge, the UW Medical Center outside of the Plaza Café, and the Health Sciences Rotunda.

Items needed include:

  • Canned Fruit
  • Canned chicken, tuna, and salmon
  • Soups and stews
  • Peanut or other nut butters
  • Shelf-stable milk/alternatives
  • Cereal
  • Cooking oil
  • Toiletries (toothpaste, soap, toilet paper, etc.)
