Get growing with The HUB April 22-29

Get Growing

Kick off Spring with a green thumb! From April 22-29, stop by the HUB's North Entrance to pick up planting materials you can use to build your own garden at home. Starter materials and instructions will be provided, but you will need to upcycle or resuse a few materials to give your plant a new home.

Uncovering the HUB's sustainable features

One of the most visible buildings on campus is also one of the most sustainable. The Husky Union Building (HUB) is recognized with LEED Gold status for its sustainable features both large – such as the cooling system – and small, like the materials in the bowling alley.

UW study accesses the HUB’s indoor environmental quality

How do LEED-certified buildings measure up on indoor environmental quality? UW’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering conducted an investigation, funded by a Green Seed Grant, at the LEED Gold-certified Husky Union Building (HUB) to find out.

The HUB lost and found sale

It's time for UW's garage sale.

On the first Wednesday of every month, the HUB's main desk is the place to go for cheap reusable water bottles, USB flash drives, sunglasses, jewelry and a ton of other items. The HUB lost and found sale is the final stop for items lost on campus which go unclaimed.
