Movie screening of "An American Ascent" on Feb. 21

Join Voyage UW on February 21st at 7 p.m. in the Ethnic Cultural Theater for a screening of An American Ascent, a riveting documentary that follows the first African-American expedition team to tackle North America's highest peak, Denali. Rosemary Saal and Adina Scott, two climbers on the team, will join us afterwards for a Q&A about the importance on diversity and women leadership in the outdoors.

This film addresses the lack of representation in the outdoors as it follows the team up one of the world’s most challenging peaks, and strives to inspire greater inclusivity in the outdoor/adventure community.
