The University of Washington is hosting the third annual Pac-12 Sustainability Conference on June 25-26. The Pac-12 is the collegiate sports conference to organize a high-level symposium focused entirely on integrating sustainability into college athletics and across college campuses.
As one of the key components of Pac-12 Team Green, the Pac-12 Sustainability Conference will for the third-straight year feature a high-level symposium focused on elevating approaches and enhancing sustainability efforts within collegiate athletics departments, designing new collective initiatives and sharing best practices for transforming college sports into a platform for environmental progress.
All of the Pac-12 athletic departments have committed to measuring their environmental performance, developing strategies and goals to reduce their impact, monitoring their progress, and engaging fans and communities in greener practices. The Pac-12 Sustainability Conference signals an elevated approach to enhancing sustainability efforts within collegiate athletics departments, designing new collective initiatives, and sharing best practices to transform college sports into a platform for environmental progress.
The opening night reception on June 25 will be highlighted by& Hall of Famer, former UCLA Bruin and current ESPN and Pac-12 Networks analyst Bill Walton. The conference will feature a series of presentations, panel discussion and breakout sessions on June 26. View the full program here.
