Fall quarter is nearly here, and it's Dawg Daze time! Whether you're a new student on campus or returning for another year, these Dawg Daze events will give you a good introduction to sustainability efforts on campus, and some ideas on how you can get involved.
Sustainability walking tour

Explore a few of UW's sustainability features, from innovative buildings to secluded green space. Join UW Sustainability for a walking tour highlighting just a few reasons UW's campus is a leader in sustainability. The tour will meet at the Husky statue in front of the HUB.

UW Transportation Bike Bash
Monday, September 23
1400 NE Campus Parkway, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Learn about bike safety on campus, get some fun giveaways and enter a raffle prize drawing. At 2pm, join UW Transportation for the “Ride to the Center of the Universe” for a bike tour of the Fremont neighborhood.
UW Sustainability Open House

Gerberding Hall room B40, 12:30 - 2 p.m.
Join UW Sustainability, the Campus Sustainability Fund (CSF) and student group UW EcoReps to learn about sustainability efforts on campus and how you can get involved. We have information about sustainable student groups, classes, volunteer opportunities, sustainability features on campus and much more. To find room B40, enter Gerberding Hall on the south side, across from Johnson Hall, and come down the stairs.
UW Surplus Public Store

4515 25th Ave. NE, 12 - 6 p.m.
UW Surplus takes unwanted items from all UW departments and medical facilities. Their objective is to reuse, repurpose, or recycle as many items as possible to lessen the Universi- ty’s climate impact on both purchasing and disposal. The UW Surplus store is open to everyone on Tuesdays from noon – 6pm.
SEED Pot-a-Plant

Love plants? Come pot-a-plant with SEED (Students Expressing Environmental Dedication). We will have succulents and other seeds available for planting!
Sustainability on Red Square

Red Square, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
UW Sustainability, UW Surplus, UW Transportation, UW Recycling, and the Campus Sustainability Fund will be on Red Square to share information about all we do and offer opportunities for how you can get involved. Stop by our booths to learn more, play our corn hole game or pick up some fun swag!
