The Washinton & Oregon Higher Education Conference (WOHESC) is seeking workshops, panel discussions and presentation proposals for the 2021 conference happening February 10-12, 2021 at South Seattle College. The current deadline to submit your topic ideas is Friday, September 11th, 2020.
WOHESC is a platform for inspiring change, facilitating action, and promoting collaboration related to sustainability within the Cascadia region's higher education institutions. Conversation, workshops, and networking opportunities will empower participants to advance environmental performance at the Cascadia region’s institutions of higher education.
Conference Theme: People, Planet, People: Envisioning Higher Education Sustainability and Resiliency in 2030
WOHESC 2021 will continue to work to advance equity, diversity and inclusion through conference thematic elements, speakers and attendees. We aim to examine systemic change and operating principles through the lens of equity, diversity and inclusion to generate dialogue and guide and inspire action. This year, we focus on People, Planet, People: Envisioning Higher Education Sustainability and Resiliency in 2030. After all that we’ve learned in 2020, what can we see for the next 10 years?
We are looking for speakers and session submissions from experts like you to present stimulating and insightful topics at this year’s conference. Our Call for Proposals will be available on our website on May 12th and we encourage you to submit for a chance to be included in our 2021 conference program. WOHESC is seeking, but is not limited to, submissions from the list of topics outlined below:
