The UW Study Abroad fair is coming up on Tuesday, November 8 in the HUB Ballroom from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The fair is a chance to learn about international study and internship opportunities, attend info sessions, and connect with study abroad alumni, advisers and fellow UW students.
Study abroad programs cover nearly any topic you'd care to explore, including sustainability and the environment. You can learn more about all the available programs at the Study Abroad Fair, including information sessions in HUB room 214 on "Study Abroad 101" at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and a session on "Funding Your Study Abroad Program" at 12:30 p.m.
In addition to traditional study abroad programs, UW offers Exploration Seminars, short-term, intensive study abroad programs which happen between the end of summer quarter and the start of fall quarter. In the past there have been many different environmental-themed seminars, such as a course on the natural and cultural history of Costa Rica, looking at ecotourism in Tanzania or studying biodiversity, conservation & sustainability in Peru.
