UW students living in the North campus neighborhood can get rid of unwanted items for free during the Husky Neighborhood Cleanup. On Thursday, August 25 and Tuesday, September 27 trucks will be on site accepting items for donation, recycling or disposal. Recycling and disposal trucks will also be available on Monday, September 25, but the donation vendor will not be available that day.

A UW student Husky card will be required to drop off material.

Accepted items include:

  • Donations of items in good condition, such as hard-surfaced furniture, clothing, electronics, kitchenware, linens and rugs
  • Recyclable materials, including scrap metal and painted or unpainted wood
  • Disposal of items in poor condition, including mattresses and upholstered furniture

If you aren't able to utilize the cleanup event, other resources are available. You can schedule a bulky item trash pickup with Seattle Public Utilities, donate items in good condition to thrift stores such as Goodwill, or drop off trash and recycling at the North Transfer Station.
